| Water distillation is considered superior to other water treatment methods because the distilled water it produces comes the closest to the ideal of pure drinking water. An age-old, time-tested process, water distillation has proven to remove a broader range of organic, inorganic and biological (bacteria, viruses, etc.) contaminants than any other point of use water purification method. Other systems, including reverse osmosis, ultraviolet and common filtration, are not always consistent, can lose their effectiveness and must be serviced regularly to maintain consistency.
