What is a water distiller?
A water distiller is a device used to purify or disinfect water of a host of contaminants. Operating similar to nature’s Hydrologic Cycle – or water cycle – a water distiller uses the power of heat to separate contaminants from water.

A water distiller features a boiling chamber where water is boiled until it evaporates and water vapor or steam is produced. Since rising vapor cannot carry pollutants, including chemicals, minerals, bacteria, germs, waste products, etc., the water vapor produced is in a relatively pure form. This water vapor is captured, cooled, condensed back into a liquid form and, finally, filtered before becoming pure, distilled water. The contaminants originally found in the untreated water are left behind in the water distiller’s boiling chamber in the form of a visible crust or ring.
