Solar Water Distiller
A solar water distiller operates using the power of the sun. Allowing the sun into the “still” or boiling chamber of the solar water distiller, the high temperatures produced destroy all pathogens. As the water within the still evaporates, only the pure water vapor rises to the top and condenses on the glass. This glass covering is usually cone-shaped, allowing the condensed water to run down the glass and collect in a trough. The pure water is drawn from the trough with a tube and then stored. There are no moving parts in a solar water distiller, and only the sun's energy is required for its operation.
